When they partnered with DigitlHaus, Rhino Trunk & Case was new to eCommerce. Formerly, they were a manufacturer and distributor and didn't sell direct to consumer or online.

Rhino Trunk & Case is a vendor for many popular stores, such as Pottery Barn. To highlight their distribution services, the company wanted to offer wholesale options such as bulk pricing or site wide discounts.

We consulted with Rhino Trunk & Case on rebranding their colors, fonts and logo. Our design team wanted to create an engaging and attractive user experience for their new digital presence.
The company’s logo had been used since their founding. It’s style was somewhat old-school. Our team was able to consult with their internal designer to create a modern identity that matched the new aesthetic we implemented throughout their new site.
Our team designed and developed a custom shopping experience using BigCommerce. We customized the user experience to be edgy, minimal and interactive.
As Rhino Trunk & Case was limited on photography, aside from their product photos, our team utilized minimal textures and asymmetrical overlays to build a branded, visual structure. We incorporated interactive carousels and hovers that engaged the customer throughout the shopping process. This brought the company’s UX to life.
We utilized native options from BigCommerce to provide customizable swatches on their product pages. Larger pick-list selections allowed users to view various details and options for each type of trunk.
Throughout the site, our designers incorporated CTAs to drive users toward the custom designed and developed “solutions” landing page. This page provided case studies, videos and press features of their custom trunks and cases. From this page, customers could also request a quote for a fully customized product.
Lastly, we developed a wholesale register and login experience for retail vendors. This changed the game for Rhino Trunk & Case’s current wholesale customers. They now can shop directly online, with no need to call in their orders by phone.
Rhino Trunk & Case is now selling online and has a future proof eCommerce store that is built to scale. The company’s online presence has a competitive and modern advantage.
Within two months of launching the new site, they sold over 197 products direct-to-consumer (DTC), which is a completely new funnel that they wouldn't have otherwise. These sales brought an average order value of $300.
Rhino Trunk & Case plans to continue growing their product catalog and partnering with wholesale customers, digitally. They intend to expand their marketing efforts through social and paid ad networks.
