EzyDog is the original manufacturer of the shock absorbing dog leash. Over the years they have expanded their brand and now sell rugged dog harnesses, leashes and accessories for the outdoor enthusiast. EzyDog sells online and also in stores such as PetCo, PetSmart and pet boutiques across America. EzyDog came to DigitlHaus for assistance upgrading to the BigCommerce Stencil framework and for a complete brand overhaul.
Simply put, EzyDog needed a brand update. They were falling behind visually and functionally compared to their competition. Their site was hard to navigate to find specific products and categories.
EzyDog was still on the BigCommerce Blueprint framework, which caused slower site speeds and also produced fewer OOTB functionalities that they could easily utilize.
One of the main challenges during the redesign process was how to harness all of the copy they used for SEO. Today, this process for SEO is obsolete, but we still wanted to ensure that they did not take a hit in search rankings when we deployed.
Before we started the project we completed a full SEO crawl to determine the best way to organize and layout the poorly placed content throughout the site. After that was determined, we custom designed and developed a BigCommerce theme with custom category and landing pages that hosted the SEO content comfortably.
We designed and developed unique custom product pages that educated the consumer on each product and what it is used for.
When we deployed, we upgraded EzyDog to the Stencil framework while ensuring all SEO data was properly in place and ranking accordingly.
EzyDog now has a newly branded eCommerce store fit to sell amongst their competitors. They are on the Stencil framework, which has increased their site speed and has given them more features to use to sell products.
We have ensured SEO was optimized with re-directs and made sure their was no impact in rankings.
Because of our work well done, we now manage the EzyDog’s search engine optimization on a monthly agreement.
