EzyDog is the original manufacturer of the shock absorbing dog leash. Over the years they have expanded their brand and now sell rugged dog harnesses, leashes and accessories for the outdoor enthusiast. EzyDog sells online and also to independent retailers across the United States. EzyDog came to DigitlHaus for a store redesign to help increase conversions and refresh their position in the market.
As new pet accessory brands started forming, it was time EzyDog revamped their positioning in the online market. There were several opportunities we had to enhance their shopping flow as well as redesign their overall shopping experience with modern trends and best practices.
EzyDog was also still on the BigCommerce Blueprint framework, which caused slower site speeds and also produced fewer OOTB functionalities.
A main challenge during this project was to harness their SEO content. We needed to ensure the proper planning was done so the new store would not negatively affect their SEO rankings.
Before we started the project we completed a full SEO crawl to determine the best way to organize and layout their SEO content throughout the site. After that was determined, we custom designed and developed a BigCommerce theme with custom category and landing pages that hosted the SEO content comfortably.
We designed and developed unique custom product pages that educated the consumer on the product and it’s uses.
When we deployed, we migrated EzyDog to the Stencil framework and ensured all SEO data was properly in place and ranked accordingly.
EzyDog now has a newly branded BigCommerce store fit to sell amongst their competitors. They are on the Stencil framework, which has increased their site speed and has given them more conversion tools to sell products.
We optimized their SEO content with re-directs and ensured there were no impact in rankings.
Because of a healthy partnership, we now manage the EzyDog’s search engine optimization on a monthly retainer engagement.
