Kurgo is a leading manufacturer of pet travel, pet safety and pet accessory products. Their gear can be found online through numerous retailers and in stores such as PetSmart and Petco. Due to their competitive industry, Kurgo needed a stronger digital presence that could support their growing product catalog and customer base.
After a platform evaluation, we chose to migrate Kurgo to BigCommerce Enterprise. Putting their customer’s shopping experience first, we designed and developed an entirely new UX for Kurgo that visually communicated the Kurgo brand with new fonts, colors, detailed photography and a theme design that consisted of horizontal text, overlays and large imagery to showcase their products and to give a more modern experience. We designed and developed an intuitive mobile experience that is strategically focused on conversions and usability.
We restructured their SEO content by incorporating a custom blog that features a tagging system so Kurgo could organize their information into articles and featured posts. As a subset of the blog, we also custom designed and developed a resource center library that organized all of Kurgo’s useful articles, tips and product reviews.
For product search, our team utilized the native BigCommerce faceted search functionality. We created custom filters that allowed customers to narrow down their results within specific tiers. Lastly, we integrated a wholesale signup process that allowed users to fill out a form and be added to a specific customer group for discount pricing.
